What is Bespoke?

Bespoke begins with the customer's requests and image to determine the specifications, and the entire shoemaking process is carried out by hand, reflecting the results of the foot measurements in the Last(*). It is a service where shoes are made just for the customer.

* A last is a mechanical form shaped like a human foot.It is used by shoemakers in the manufacture of shoes.

Visit to the atelier and meeting
Please book your visit to the shop by email and on the day we will discuss the design and specifications with you, asking you about the image of the shoes you require and the occasions in which they will be used. We will sketch out a concrete image of the finished product by looking at leather swatches and model shoes.

Measurement
Measure the customer's foot. All necessary information such as size, circumference and foot characteristics will be noted in a sketchbook.

Last making
A last is shave based on the measurement data. The shape is made in consideration of the characteristics of the foot, the fitting and the ideal shape.

Pattern making
A pattern is made from a last. We pursue the balance of design, functional elements and the best lines while fitting the last.

Closing
The leather is cut out according to the pattern and sewn together on a sewing machine. The temporary sewing uses the same non-best part of the leather as for the production.

Trial fitting
Trial shoes are made for the customer to check the comfort and design balance.

Bottom making
Based on the results of the provisional sewing, the last and pattern are modified before the shoes are made for production. The shoes are carefully manufactured using carefully selected top-quality materials and a lot of time and effort is spared.

Completion and delivery
Final fitting and explanation of maintenance instructions.

Bespoke orders can be placed in the atelier and via the email form on the website.
Once the date and time of your appointment has been decided, we will proceed with the following steps.

• The delivery time is about 12 - 15 months, but it varies depending on the situation.
• We will inform you of the schedule when you place your order.
• Repairs and maintenance are also available.
